Jack and Sophia, sittin' in a tree...

...K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

We had some friends over for food, fun and fire last night. Jeff and Trinity showed up first with Sophia. The kids just looked at each other for awhile at first, but then they did okay. Sophia did much better than Jack, though he did give her a few kisses upon our requests. Amber showed up shortly thereafter with big bouncy balls for each of the kids and we hung out in the backyard watching them play. Jack isn't much for sharing...

We sat down to way too much food and then let the kids play some more. Pat and Molly also showed up to join in the festivities and see kiddies in action before it was time to put them to bed. I gave Jack a quick bath and put him to bed around 9:00 and Jeff and Trinity left to get Sophia home right after. It was a really late night for both of them! The rest of us sat around a bonfire for a few hours since it was such a nice night. With bonfires comes s'mores, right? Well, I never went to get Hershey bars so I melted chocolate chips and spread them on graham crackers. After a few minutes in the freezer they were hardened and ready for roasted marshmallows. They were actually really good. With the chocolate spread onto the cracker, there was some in every bite :-)
