Jack's 1st Time in a Child Care Center

So I joined Lifetime this week. I figured it was time to get back into shape since Jack is almost 2 years old now. I had my first visit today for a fitness and body assessment and was pleasantly surprised to learn that I fall into the average category. I figured I'd be in the lazy and completely out of shape group! I do, however, have a body age of 37 :-(  That's sad... and motivating at the same time. I get reassessed on August 1st if I want to know how I'm doing.

Anyways, I took Jack to the child care center for his first experience with a day care setting. He didn't enjoy himself, but I wasn't paged for a little over an hour. When I picked him up, they told me he cried off and on and he had to sit on one of their laps for the whole time. I guess this is what happens when you wait until this age to start leaving him with strangers. They told me to make sure to keep coming or he would have an even harder time adjusting to strangers. I can't decide whether to try again tomorrow so he knows he's got to learn to be without me or if that's too much and I should give him a day or two so he's not scarred for life!
