Bye-Bye Balloon
Jack and I had a busy morning today. First we went to the gym and he had a poopy diaper that the child care center paged me for about 10 minutes after I dropped him off! Lucky for me, he let me go finish my work out. This was a first for us since we usually have to go home after a diaper change. After the gym we stopped at the Gap to return a pair of jeans that I decided I didn't like. Trader Joe's was next for a few dinner items as well as a free balloon for Jack :-) He was upset that I tied it around my wrist but I explained that if we let go it would go high up in the sky and never come back. The last stop was the post office to mail some paperwork. When we got home, Jack decided that he wanted to see the balloon go high in the sky and never come back. So I handed it to him and he walked around the driveway for awhile. When he was done he let go and watched it fly away. He waved and said goodbye to it. He got excited and kept saying "High in the sky!" Then he realized it was gone and he lost it! After about 5 minutes of crying, he calmed down a little bit and we went inside. He was pretty bummed and kept asking for the balloon, but eventually he forgot about it and we had lunch, played a little bit and then he went down for a nap.
