Santa Pictures!

Downtown WBL is taking Santa pictures for free with a donation to the food shelf so we took Jack there this morning. Yes, I said this morning! Can you believe how timely this post is? We didn't tell him where we were going because our past visits to Santa haven't gone very well. Plus, we saw him at Key's in Woodbury last weekend and Jack wasn't too thrilled about that.

It's Jack's turn!

Jack asked Santa for an acrylic crayon maker this year...

Last year's picture for comparison...

The whole morning went great! There were no tears. In fact, there were quite a few smiles as you can see from the pictures and video. Each kid was given a small bag of candy from Santa as well. We had the option of taking a horse-drawn carriage ride to kill the time while waiting for the picture to be ready, but Jack didn't seem very interested in doing that. Plus, it was cold out and the line was moving very, very slow. We decided to go for a snack at Key's instead. The last thing I have to say is that, while things went well for us, I was actually disappointed in people today. This is supposed to be a win-win situation for everybody — free Santa pics for us and more food for the food shelf. We brought a big bag of food, but most of the people that we saw didn't bring anything. Not a single thing. And the free pictures were done on the honor system...

What an improvement:) I'm pretty sure my kiddo will look like Jack's last year pic...
