Here's how my day has gone so far...
First I heard Jack crying at about 5:00 this morning, but thankfully he stopped and fell back to sleep. Then around 7:00 or 7:30 he was talking happily for quite some time. I finally heard him say "All done in crib" a couple of times so Josh got up with him. A few minutes later Jack came in to say "Happy Mother's Day, Mommy" and it was so cute! Then he climbed around in our bed until Josh took him out so I could relax before getting up. Then I heard Jack go into his room and start talking and making kissing noises. Josh came to tell me to take a look... Jack had climbed onto his rocking chair with some stuffed animals and was talking to them and making them give each other "biiiiiiiig hugs" and kisses. It was totally worth getting up for the morning!
I also got a card that Jack made for me. He wrote all of the letters for "Happy Mother's Dat, Mommy" though, of course, it was all just swirly scribbles! I've got it in a bright red frame that I bought from Ikea so I can put it up on the wall in his playroom with other drawings for decoration.
