Potty Time...

We borrowed a DVD called "Potty Time with Elmo" from Jessie and decided to pop it in the other day since our satellite reception was not doing well. Jack was very interested and sat on his potty while we watched it. About 10 or 15 minutes into it, he decided that he wanted to sit on mommy's potty so he wandered into the bathroom. He wanted me to pick him up and set him on the toilet and then let go but he was much too small for that. I wasn't going to let him fall in! I put him back on the floor and got the seat insert from his little potty but that wasn't what he wanted. So I went back out to the living room to get the rest of his potty chair and he decided to pee on the bathroom rug before I got back in there. Then he went crazy! He cried and screamed for a really long time. We weren't sure if it was because he didn't want his diaper back on or if he was upset that he peed on the rug. Maybe he was just tired. Maybe it was a combination of all three...

Now he likes to sit on the potty sometimes. He doesn't use it, but he sits on it the correct way instead of standing in it like he used to. It's usually just while he's dressed and I'm going to the bathroom or just before his bath and he's naked. He likes to "flush" using the handles on the side.

We did have an almost poop success the other day, but it landed on the floor next to the potty...
